MoldNear is a referral service that connects callers with independent local pros. We do not do the work ourselves. We are not a contractor, and we do not employ technicians.

The referral, stated plainly
When you request a referral, we pass your request to an independent local provider that offers the service you need. That provider is a separate business. It is responsible for its own licensing, pricing, and work, and for the quality of the job.
We may be paid per call or per lead by the pro. That payment does not mean we endorse that provider, and it does not mean the price is fair or the provider is licensed in your area. There is no cost to the caller for the referral. The provider sets its own price for the work, so ask for a written scope and price before work starts.
The steps
- You request a quote. Tell us the problem, the room, the size if you know it, and your city. Note any water source, such as a leak or past flooding.
- We connect you. We match the request to a provider that offers the service in your area and pass the request to that provider.
- The pro assesses and quotes. The provider contacts you to discuss the visit, the scope, and the price. It should explain the moisture source and what will be removed, cleaned, or left in place, and why.
- You decide. You can ask questions, ask for a second opinion, decline, or request another provider. A referral is not a booking, a quote, or a guarantee that a provider will accept the job.
What to check before you hire anyone
Use these checks with any provider, including one we refer.
- Ask about licensing and insurance for your state and city.
- Ask for a written scope and a written price.
- Ask how the moisture source will be found and fixed.
- Ask what will be removed, cleaned, or left in place, and why.
- Ask about drying, ventilation, and post-work checks.
- Ask for a timeline, including any return visit.
If a provider pressures you to sign at once, or will not put the scope in writing, pause and get another opinion.
What this site does not cover
This site covers non-emergency work. If you have active flooding, a sewage backup, a gas leak, or structural damage, contact local emergency services or a local emergency contractor first. Do not wait for a referral. Once the immediate hazard is handled, a mold referral may still help.

Does MoldNear do the mold work itself?
No. MoldNear is a referral service. We do not perform inspections or remediation, and we do not employ technicians. An independent local provider does the work, and that provider is responsible for its own licensing, pricing, and work.
Does the referral cost me anything?
No. There is no cost to you for the referral. We may be paid per call or per lead by the provider. The provider sets its own price for inspection or remediation, so ask for a written scope and price before work starts.
